David Lake, born in Council Bluffs Iowa, moved to St. Petersburg
with his family when he was 7 years of age. In 1975 with his wife Laura, David
began photographing weddings. In 1991 David became a member of the Suncoast
Professional Photographers Association (SPPA), and in 1992 David & Laura
opened their studio, LAKES PHOTOGRAPHY. In 1993 David was elected
as a Board Member for the SPPA. It was at that time that David also became a
member of the Florida Professional Photographers (FPP). In 1994 David received
2nd Place as Photographer of the Year. David also won a scholarship to attend
the Florida School of Professional Photography. David joined the Professional
Photographers of America in 1995 and earned his Certification as a Professional
Photographer in February of 1997. In 1997 David also served as President of
the SPPA. He is serving the SPPA |

as
Secretary Treasurer this year as well as the State Delegate for the SPPA. David
received his FSA that the Florida Professional Photographers Convention this
year.
David is dedicated to excellence in the art of photography.
For this reason he an active member of the SPPA, FPP, and PP of A, as well as
the Southeastern Professional Photographers Association (SEPPA). As a member
of these associations, David has attended seminars and classes to expand his
knowledge
and enhance his own photographic style. David has entered many of his images
in Local, State, Regional, National & International Competitions, receiving
Awards of merit, Honors, and Court of Honor awards.
